WE’RE TURNING UP THE HEAT-EXPANSION INTO NEW MARKETS AS WELL AS THE SKELTON AREA
Pawletts has been around for 39 years and we’ve always found new ways to grow the business. This year, we’ve decided to expand into a brand new market-stoves, range cookers and bathrooms. It’s the next progressive step up from supplying fireplaces and a natural direction for the business to go.
We’re also proud to announce that we’ve just signed for a new showroom in Skelton High Street which will be open for business in 2011. The new premises will enable us to display the new products, offer honest in-store advice and existing services, as well as offer much more in choice for fires and stoves.
As reported in the Gazette earlier this year, managing director, Chris Pawlett, invested heavily in the transformation of a former parts store at the Guisborough base on Northgate into a fully functional showroom to improve customer experience.
“Our existing central heating and fireplace business has gone from strength to strength since we refurbished our Guisborough showroom, we’ve had excellent feedback from customers and now we want to build on that.” – MD Chris Pawlett.
As a result of added space in the new premises, the existing Guisborough showroom will be extended further to be able to display new products. Pawletts has gone through some very positive changes in the last year and we are continuing with expansion plans when many retailers are pulling back.

AN OLD FACE HAS RE-JOINED PAWLETTS AS INSTALLATIONS AND SERVICES MANAGER-WARM WELCOME BACK TO THE FAMILY CRAIG
Craig Chapman, a 28-year-old father-of-one-from Skelton, who started his career when he was just 17, has re-joined the firm.
Mr Chapman was desperate to work for Pawletts when he left school and visited the company time and time again until he was given the opportunity to do work experience – he then went on to train and become an engineer.
After flying the nest and working elsewhere for a few years, Mr Chapman has now returned as installations and service manager to a fresh, revamped Pawletts, where he will manage a team of seven engineers.
Now he is looking forward to bringing the experience he has gained over the years to the business, which has recently expanded into range cookers and bathrooms: “It’s a great family business,” said Mr Chapman, “It’s all about good customer service and doing a really good job – I want to take the company forward and will do whatever I can to do it.
“Pawletts gave me a chance earlier in my career and I’m really happy to be getting the opportunity to manage a great team and help grow the business.”
We’re lucky to have you on the team Craig!

GET THE MAXIMUM HEAT OUTPUT FROM YOUR STOVE – KILN DRIED LOGS NOW ON SALE
Pawletts has teamed up with Certainly Wood – the UK’s leading supplier of specialist wood.
Kiln dried logs are dried to an average moisture content of 20% and are recommended for immediate burning on all wood burning appliances. The wood is air dried first then finished off in wood fired kilns and these logs are recommended by most of the major UK stove manufacturers. All the wood is hardwood, sourced from Sustainable British Woodland and the logs are cut to an average length of 25cm, but also available in longer lengths (35cm and 50cm) when bought in bulk bags. These logs provide the ultimate clean burn with maximum heat output.
Come and see them burn in our showroom.
